The success of the dinner party crEATive Östersund - "A cultural Bonanza" is back! We celebrate the arrival of summer and party together during the brightest evening of the year.
Guest performances and inspiration from the local arts, dance and food scenes, mixed with guest chefs and star influencers from Barcelona, London, Paris, Bogotá and Stockholm. An exciting intermingling with the best of our region.
World Sustainable Gastronomy Day
The 24 hour festival is rounded off with an extra focus on a better world. That Östersund is designated a Unesco Creative City of Gastronomy is what this is all about. We celebrate the UN-Day "World Sustainable Gastronomy Day". How about attending a Swedish "Gökotta",a dawn get-together listening to birds and bring your own breakfast basket. A DAY IN THE PARK

A Day in the Park – Last year’s success is back and is much bigger! Saturday the 17th of June we turn the lawn around Frösö Park’s obstacle course into a family party. Here you will find Slackline, Beach-volleyball, Longboard-skate and other fun stuff with Surfbukten as host of the games.
Pulse-raising family training with Friskis and obstacle parkour with Emil Eklöv from Kåda Nature. In the story-telling tent, the true story of Storsjöodjuret, The Big Lake Monster of Lake Storsjön, is told, and around the stage we dance to the rocking tones of ”Världens Minsta Band,”The World’s Smallest Band, and other fun musicians from the outdoor stage. There will also be a bouncy-castle and other fun games.
In addition to all the outdoor activities for all ages, you can also try Frösö Fun Park – inspired by the Woodward Park in the United States – at no cost. A 4,000 square meter hall is filled with activities for children and young people, such as trampolines, obstacle courses, pedal cars, skateboard park, ball sports and much more.
A Day in the Park has an addition this year in the form of a ”Food stock”, which includes Pop-Up taverns, beverage / art tastings, film and food festivities, artisinal food market, bread festival with local and internationally renowned chefs, bakers and creative sparks.
Amongst others, you will meet Sébastien Boudet, famous French-Swedish baker / chef who together with his French mother inspires and shows us how to cook rabbit. The Vikings rage on the meadows and cook historical fare. A map of the festival area, more participating actors and the final program will be launched soon

The Arty Party – crEATive Östersund is a feast you do not want to miss. It starts with a sparkling mingle party at Frösö Park Hotel where everything in food, music, art and culture can happen. As a guest, you are guided around several creative environments in the Frösö Park festival area, all with varied tastes, music and cultural themes.
Local talent and visiting international guest chefs will create taste- and cultural experiences. Together, these are intermingled with local produce, drinks, music and dance. Food In Action ad friends from near and far, with Fia Gulliksson in the lead, serve as our party guides. Contributors are presented in more detail on our Facebook page.
To join the Cultural Party, you need to buy a ticket. Food, music, culture is included in the fare. Beverage tickets can be bought separately. Expect everything from rappers, DJ collectives, live music and hang- outs. The artists will be presented in collaboration with Sensus Östersund.
WORLD GASTRONOMY DAY

Did you know that Östersund is appointed a Creative City of Gastronomy by Unesco as of 2011? This is what makes the 24-hour festival crEATive pARTy in the Park fit so perfectly with the 18 June date, when the whole world is also celebrating the International UN Day ”World Sustainable Gastronomy Day”! In the name of sustainability, there will be a Swedish ”Gökotta”, local breakfast with a lot of artisanal foods at Frösö Park Hotel and a ”Food Hackathon”.
During the festival day – A day in the Park – most activities are free and when you get hungry you can easily buy something from the Pop-Up taverns, tents, food stands or at the hotel.

crEATive pARTy in the Park is therefore a joint venture to create a sustainable, attractive experience for residents and visitors to Östersund and the region. Private and public actors work together for a more fun and better place. Behind the festival idea is the non-profit organisation CIA (Create, Imagine, Act) and Fia Gulliksson and Kajsa-Tuva Werner, two of the founders of the popular restaurant Jazzköket in Östersund, as well as new resident event-maker from Switzerland – Fabienne Theiler.
